1928 - The Sandeman logo, also known as "The Don", was created in 1928 by Scottish artist George Massiot Brown to advertise the Sandeman family's Port and Sherry. The logo features a mysterious figure dressed in a Portuguese student's cape and a wide-brimmed Spanish hat, holding a glass of ruby-colored Porto.
1972 - Boris the Burglar is the mascot for the National Neighborhood Watch Program. It is unknown who created the Boris the Burglar logo. Design analyst Rob Walker had reached out to the NSA about the origins of the mascot, and even they were stumped about who created the logo.
